Genshin Impact: Barbara’s Hangout Events Guide

Take Barbara on a date with the Hangout Events feature of the Genshin Impact 1.4 update, Invitation of Windblume. This guide will show you how to unlock all of Barbara’s Hangout Event endings and reap their rewards.

If you’re just getting started with Hangout Events, be sure to check out this event guide primer to make sure you’ve met all the requirements to participate.

There are 5 different endings for Barbara’s Hangout Event, Act 1: Wellspring of Healing. These endings are called “Hangout Memories,” and each one offers its own set of rewards.

Hangout Memory 1: Untimely Enthusiasm

To reach the “Untimely Enthusiasm” ending, you will first meet Barbara in Wolvendom.

Between the two dialogue options, you should pick the first, “Just wait here…”

Then, find Albert in the forest. You will be prompted to choose from three options. Each of these will suffice:

• “It is dangerous here, there are lots of monsters roaming about.”
• “I think you’ve already searched most of the areas where red Wolfhooks grow.”
• “There are all sorts of monsters in Wolvendom, and not to mention wolves… That must be what you heard.”

After selecting these dialogues, continue to follow Albert until he stops. When you talk to him again, selecting either dialogue option will give you the “Untimely Enthusiasm” ending.

Barbara’s Hangout Memory 1 Rewards

Upon successful completion of “Untimely Enthusiasm,” you will earn the following rewards:

• 100 Adventure EXP
• 20 Primogems
• 3 Guide to Freedom

Hangout Memory 2: A Holiday in Mondstadt

To get the ending for Hangout Memory 2, “A Holiday in Mondstadt,” you will need to speak to Albert again.

You should then choose the following answers:

• “Gather more people…”
• “How can you be certain…”
• “Do you still hear her…”

Once you return to Barbara, you should:

• Talk with Sister Victoria and clean the grounds of the Cathedral
• Choose the Cat’s Tail Drink
• Return to speak with Sister Victoria once more
• Meet up with Barbara over at the Cat’s Tail

You will then be tasked with speaking to three fans. Because you want to be careful with your choices here, we recommend the following:

• For Herman, choose the answer about his daughter
• For Schulz, choose the answer about work
• For Susie, choose the answer about being considerate to others

After these conversations, interact with Barbara. Follow her to complete this ending.

Barbara’s Hangout Memory 2 Rewards

When you finish “A Holiday in Mondstadt,” you will receive the following rewards:

• 100 Adventure EXP
• 5 Hero’s Wit
• 3 Varunada Lazurite Fragments

Hangout Memory 3: A Fiery Flavor From Liyue

To reach the third ending, you will need to return to where you chose your drink in the quest “Deaconess’s Gratitude.”

Then, you should do the following:

• Pick the Chilibrew
• Choose to split up

Afterwards, talk to Sister Victoria and pick up the chilis highlighted at the Stone Gate. Make your way to the Whispering Woods outside of Mondstadt and follow the trail all the way to Barbara.

When you interact again with Barbara, you should then:

• Fight the Treasure Hoarders and rescue the merchant, Caishan
• Speak with Caishan and take the Chilibrew

By taking the Liyue Chilibrew, you will achieve the third ending, “A Fiery Flavor From Liyue.”

Barbara’s Hangout Memory 3 Rewards

Upon completion of this ending, you will be awarded with:

• 100 Adventure EXP
• 20 Primogems
• 5 Spicy Stew

Hangout Memory 4: Incompletely Cured

The “Incompletely Cured” quest line begins as a repeat of the last Hangout Memory. Only this time, after selecting the Chilibrew, you will want to choose to stay together. The rest of your actions should be as follows:

• Head to the Whispering Woods location and defeat the Hilichurl
• Threaten and defeat the man who shows up with the Knights of Favonius

Once the man runs away, Barbara will again speak with you. This will conclude the fourth ending.

Barbara’s Hangout Memory 4 Rewards

Once you’ve completed the “Incompletely Cured” ending, you will receive:

• 100 Adventure EXP
• 5 Hero’s Wit
• 3 Varunada Lazurite Fragments

Hangout Memory 5: The Taste of Hard Work

The fifth Hangout Memory, “The Taste of Hard Work,” can be completed one of two ways:

The first and fastest way to go about this is to continue with the quest, “Knight and Deaconess, Ready for Battle.” You will then:

• Fight and defeat the Treasure Hoarders
• Select the Sweet Flowers as your reward

Alternatively, you can choose to continue from “The Second Chilibrew Ingredient” quest. Following this, you should:

• Be sure not to threaten the man with the Knights of Favonius
• Instead, offer to help Barbara to heal the man

Either of these two options will bring you back to Barbara, concluding the fifth Hangout Memory.

Barbara’s Hangout Memory 5 Rewards

Finishing “The Taste of Hard Work” ending will grant you:

• 100 Adventure EXP
• 20 Primogems
